INTERLUDE

The Interlude project is a fashion collection that combines efficiency and creativity. It uses shared patterns and trims to optimize resources and designs digitally to minimize waste. The collection features timeless, functional pieces adaptable to various occasions. A video below showcases six standout looks on a 3D digital catwalk, followed by a detailed project development explanation.

PROJECT GOALS

CONCEPT & INSPIRATION

The collection draws inspiration from the sea and coastal landscapes, blending fluid lines and solid forms. It balances flowing fabrics with structured silhouettes, combining modernity and tradition. Inspired by traditional coastal workwear, it focuses on wearable, everyday garments that are both adaptable and contemporary.

The goal is to merge innovation and tradition, emphasizing efficiency, sustainability, and a timeless design language.

FABRICS & PATTERNS

The fabrics were selected for structure and movement, using materials like denim, linen, and crepe. The palette draws from coastal tones: deep blues, neutral sands, and soft greys, with accents of color. The garments balance functionality, durability, and aesthetic refinement.

The project emphasizes sustainability, reducing waste through shared patterns, trims, and digital design with Clo3D for precise pre-sampling adjustments. Timeless details such as puff sleeves, wrap closures, and kimono cuts integrate tradition with modernity.

DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

The development of the Interlude collection followed a structured, efficient process that balanced creativity and practicality:

COLLECTION

The Interlude collection includes six versatile looks, that explore the balance between structure and fluidity, tradition and innovation.

CATWALK INSPIRATION

The catwalk design draws inspiration from minimalist architecture and the natural beauty of the sea and rocks. The clean, structured space acts as a neutral canvas, allowing the looks to stand out while subtly connecting to the collection’s concept.

The lighting is designed to replicate a sunset, providing soft illumination that highlights the textures and colors of the collection without creating harsh contrasts.
